A pair of mouth-blown balloon glasses with fluted bowls, hand painted by skilled craftspeople with green and grey lustre. The sheer colours diffuse towards the centre of each piece. Mouth-blown glass, finely-fluted texture, hand-painted bowls, tall, hand-drawn stems. Capacity: 650ml, Height: 20.5cm, Width: 11.5cm. Due to their handmade nature, the size of these items may vary slightly. The Dusk balloon goblet is mouth-blown by skilled glassblowers. The fine optic effect is achieved by making impressions in the glass while it is still molten. The fine stem is drawn from the bowl of the glass and the foot is applied by hand. The rim is fire-polished to achieve a smooth finish. The glass is decorated by hand using metallic lustre paints which diffuse towards the centre. It is then fired at high temperatures to create a dual colour-lustrous finish. Height 20.5cm Hand wash only. 100% Glass.
